What are credits?
Credits are used for AI generations. The cost depends on complexity — a quick fix costs ~12 credits, a standard build costs ~85 credits, and complex multi-component apps with powerful models cost more. You'll always see the estimated credit cost before you generate. Asking questions in Discuss mode is free, and manual edits you make yourself don't use credits.
What are integration credits?
Integration credits are used for external API calls, webhooks, and backend functions. These are separate from your monthly AI credits and are designed for apps that connect to external services.
How is the credit cost calculated?
Credit cost is based on the AI model used and how much work your build requires. Quick fixes use a lightweight model (~12 credits). Standard builds use a balanced model (~85 credits). Power builds with the most capable model cost more (~140 credits). Before each generation, Skappa shows you the estimated cost so there are no surprises.
What happens if I run out of credits?
When you run out of credits, you'll need to wait until your monthly credits renew, or upgrade to a higher plan for more credits.
Can I export my code?
Yes! On Launch and above, you can export your entire project as a ZIP file with full source code. You own everything you build with Skappa.
Do I need to pay for hosting separately?
No! Every Skappa plan includes hosting. Your apps are deployed to yourapp.skappa.io automatically. On Maker and above, you can also connect custom domains.
Can I change plans later?
Absolutely. Upgrade or downgrade anytime. When you upgrade, you'll get immediate access to new features and additional credits. When you downgrade, you'll keep access until your current billing period ends.
